Jason Plouff

Jason is a CPA and M&A advisor with more than 15 years of senior financial and operational leadership experience, leveraging his real-world M&A experience with founder- and owner-led companies. Before joining TNMA, Jason was the owner and operator of a lower-middle-market infrastructure utility contractor, which he sold to private equity in 2021.

Drawing on his background in corporate finance and hands-on operations, Jason provides practical guidance across valuation, transaction preparation, due diligence, and closing. His analytical, straightforward approach helps clients understand value, manage deal complexity, and achieve successful ownership transitions.

As a former business owner, he uses his deal-making expertise and project management skills to work with owner-operators across a range of industries, including contractors, professional services firms such as accounting practices, and utilities-sector businesses.

Jason is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the Minnesota Board of Accountancy and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, being around water, and is passionate about off-road racing.
