Nacia Dahl

Nacia and her husband, Mike Wheelock, have been top producers for Sunbelt Business Advisors since joining the firm in 2003. Over the past 23 years, they have assisted hundreds of business owners in navigating the often-complex process of transitioning what is typically their most valuable asset—their business. Throughout their careers with Sunbelt Business Advisors and True North Mergers & Acquisitions, Nacia and Mike have never set out to become industry specialists. Instead, they have embraced a generalist approach, believing that true expertise develops naturally over time. By consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations, they have earned the trust and attention of business owners and their peers alike—many of whom seek not only guidance on the process, but insight into the advisors behind it.

Nacia and Mike have successfully sold businesses across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, and service, with transaction values ranging from $50,000 to $30 million. As entrepreneurs themselves, they bring firsthand experience to their work, having each launched, built, and sold businesses both individually and together. This perspective allows them to deeply understand the challenges and emotions business owners face when preparing to transition their life’s work.

Their dedication and results have earned them numerous honors within the industry, including multiple IBBA and M&A awards, as well as recognition as Business Broker of the Year.

Nacia and Mike raised their family in Burnsville and recently relocated to Cedar Lake in the south metro, where they enjoy spending time near their three grandchildren. Outside of work, they embrace an active lifestyle—whether it’s golfing, playing pickleball or tennis, or walking their two golden retrievers through the neighborhood.

They are also active in their community, volunteering with Can Do Canines, a nonprofit organization that provides service dogs, and participating as proud members of Rotary International. They strive to live by Rotary’s Four-Way Test:
